A classic blend comprising 55% Sangiovese and 45% Cabernet. Ripe, spicy, meaty, earthy and powerful. The Cabernet wraps itself gently around the cherry mid-palate of the Sangiovese, traditional in style with enduring spicy flavours, a lively acid structure and mouth coating tannins suggesting that it will only get better with time – but get stuck in now!
Fresh aromas of plum, blackberry & cassis are complemented by hints of tobacco leaf, cedar and vanilla – the palate is rich yet beautifully balanced with great length of flavour and soft structural tannin. This wine is a regional classic that will cellar well for many years.
